I just finished reading today’s online USA Today and how resume videos will probably explode in the next months. It’s actually very interesting but it doesn’t surprise me. With technology innovations such as Youtube and other video outlets its very easy to demonstrate who are and what you bring to the table. Not just facts in print such as traditional resumes.
Here is a good example of 
a video resume by Allen Ulbricht who was featured in the USA today article. He’s famous now 🙂
But it’s great to present something fresh and unique and video helps you do that!

Today, for the first time I’m testing out the latest Dragon Naturally Speaking program. I find it very to be quite good.
I had to train it several times. And because I have a webcam and a Altec Lancing headset mic-in microphone I ran into some difficulties. But overall it is very intuitive. After playing around with it, I managed to spit out articles with 450 words in about 5 minutes, plus editing which was another 2 minutes. I can say that isn’t bad at all. In the past I have outsourced many articles and I still will for more topics that I don’t have much interest or know absolutely NOTHING about.
I never thought after taking those Speech Recognition classes at Georgetown, that I would be using it. That class was quite boring, well at least the professor. Looking back I still remember a good thing or two 🙂
I recommend anyone who needs to dictate or write constantly to give Dragon Naturally Speaking 9 or previous versions a try!

Today I took the time to watch “The Secret” DVD Documentary that was recommended to me by a friend. I really didn’t have a clue what it was about. So I researched it a little before watching and it seems to be popular and even featured on the Oprah Show.
The dvd was a quick watch and very inspirational. In any aspect of your life you can apply the secret. In my opinion everyone has known the secret since birth but very few people apply it. I have had spurts in my life where I’ve applied it and it does work. Sometimes it’s human nature to go away from at times, from things that we know WORK..
